Peter Pan

Can you see her, dancing lightly?

Round and round she goes;
Little voice so sweetly singing,
Prancing lightly, always trilling..

‘Peter , Peter come and play..
Peter , Peter come and play
Won't you be my friend today?..'

For –

In Kensington gardens, a long time ago
It was then, she first saw him – he was covered in snow;
She said to her mother 'why is he all white?’
To be told it was snow
And would melt in the night.

She gazed up, eyes solemn and shivered with glee
No more longing for playmates...
She’d found Peter, you see;

A shy little child, she had 'oft played alone
So her mother had brought her
To this statue of stone.

The little girl saw him
So high up above
And vowed then they’d marry
She had fallen in love!

So -

Hands a clapping, feet a-tapping
Can you see her now..?
Can you hear her..?
Always singing, always dancing -
Sweetly trilling…

‘Peter, Peter come and play..
Peter Peter come and play...

Will you be my friend today?'.
