"Poetry awakens the Soul..."
Born in London's Nottinghill, I now live in the mountains of Snowdonia
and have
been writing poetry since I was a small child. I love poetry
of all sorts and find writing
an enriching experience.. I was a member
of The Poets Workshop for 17 months.
As The Poets Workshop is now closing, I am
placing my poems on my own webpage,
and I hope that you enjoy reading
them. I will be adding links, so that you can post
poems of your own,
and also adding links to others poets. My poems will be familiar
to
many who, as members of the workshop, reviewed them. I don't
write
often, but will
continue to add to my page as I write more.
I am also in the process of writing my first
collection of short stories, and will post them
onto my webpage as they
are completed.
Finally, I would just like to ask that you respect
the fact that the poems you read are
mine and represent parts of my own
inner self, thus..they mean a great deal to me and I
trust that you
will not copy any of them. Some have been published in anthologies,
others
have not...
My favourite poem is Tennyson's 'The Lady of
Shallot', hence, the lovely Waterhouse
painting appears on my
page as a backdrop. My favourite poet is Siegfried Sassoon.
' Since I can
never see your face and never take you by the hand,
I send my soul through time and space ~ to greet you...you will
understand.'
